Options and prices
After the generation change, Skoda Rapid was available to Russian motorists in five versions, among which one version was supplemented with a package of special options.
Entry
The most affordable version of the liftback, at a price of 964 thousand rubles. The list of standard features of the Czech car is as follows:

- windshield washer nozzles with built-in heating;
- parking sensor at the stern.
Ambition
The price for this version is 1.052-1.156 million rubles. Its functionality is further enhanced by the following services:
- the car received a winter package;
- optionally here you can order a version with aluminum wheels;
- front fog lights;
- front seats and heated windshield;
- Cruise control;
- 6 speakers audio system in the cabin.
The variant with the “package” Ambition Hockey Edition received a “price tag” of 1109900-1213900 rubles. For him, tinting is provided from the factory, a leather braid for the steering wheel, an armrest between the front seats, climate control.
Sport Edition
This configuration option is pre-top, and its price is 1.161-1.265 million rubles. The list of additional features of the liftback includes:
- aluminum wheels 16 inches;
- rear window cleaner;
- color display of the instrument panel;
- multifunction steering wheel;
- heated steering wheel.
style
The top version of the Czech liftback, worth 1.213-1.267 million. It is complemented by rain and light sensors, a car engine start system using a button, keyless entry to the passenger compartment, as well as curtain airbags, a cooled glove box, an 8-inch multimedia touch screen and a full-size spare.

Advantages and disadvantages
Rapid stands out from the competition with the following features:
- a wide range of onboard equipment;
- high-quality optics;
- excellent handling, including on a dirt road;
- comfortable suspension;
- comfortable and easy steering;
- low fuel consumption.
Among the shortcomings of the Czech liftback, one can single out the fact that most of the options that increase the comfort of the car are offered for a surcharge. As a result, at comparable costs, the buyer has a choice of what to buy: Rapid or, for example, Kia Cerato, which belongs to a completely different class.
Advantages and disadvantages
The Czech liftback, like any model, implies both advantages and disadvantages. The list of pluses of the 2022 Skoda Rapid includes:
- adaptation of the car to Russian operating conditions;
- low cost and high build quality;
- a fairly wide range of built-in features;
- affordable cost of a new model and low cost of maintenance;
- a decent level of security;
- acceptable level of fuel consumption.
Among the shortcomings of a budget car are:
- installation of electronic assistants and services is possible only for a surcharge, which leads to an increase in the cost of the car;
- low off-road ability of the car.
Specifications
Since passenger cars with three-volume bodies are very popular in Russia, the Volkswagen concern instructed Skoda to create a car with a protruding trunk. The Czechs added extra practicality to the idea and preferred a liftback to traditional sedans. Such a technical solution turned out to be successful, and the second generation of the VW Polo switched to the Rapid power structure, becoming a “five-door”.
Overall dimensions and clearance
Since the 2nd generation, in fact, is a restyling, the overall dimensions of 4485 x 1706 x 1475 mm have not changed much, only the length has increased by 2 mm due to the new bumpers. For the Russian market, the European clearance was increased to 170 (+34) mm. The front suspension is a reinforced McPherson from Fabia, and a semi-independent beam from the first generation Octavia is installed at the rear.
Engines and transmissions
The technical characteristics of the base engine 1.6 MPI EA211, produced in Kaluga, imply 2 boost levels (90 and 110 hp). A more powerful option, in addition to a 5-speed manual gearbox, is equipped with a 6-band automatic Aisin AQ-160. The 1.4 TSI EA888 turbo engine of the flagship modification of the Skoda Rapid 2022 develops 125 forces and uses a 7-speed DSG DQ200 robot with two dry clutches as a transmission.

Dynamics and economy
The base 90-horsepower version is able to realize its dynamics in acceleration to hundreds in 11.4 seconds, reaching 184 km / h and consuming an average of 6.0 liters per 100 km. Modification with a capacity of 110 hp, depending on the transmission (mechanical / automatic), claims 10.7 (11.8) seconds, 195 (190) km / h and 6.0 (6.1) liters for dynamics, maximum speed and efficiency, respectively. The flagship Skoda Rapid 1.4 TSI exchanges a hundred in 9.2 seconds, accelerating to 204 km / h and consumes 5.4 liters per 100 km.
